About Anavatos
We publish what the myths left unsaid.
A small house, founded in 2025, for epic fantasy built on Greek myth. One trilogy to begin with.
Four centuries of silence.
Everyone knows the Olympians. Fewer people know what the Greeks never wrote down: four centuries between the fall of the Bronze Age and the first lines of Homer, with no chronicle, no inscription, no name. That silence is where Anavatos works.
We are not retelling the myths. We treat them as history that was lost, and we write what might have happened in the gap. Our books are fast, dark and cinematic, and they take the old gods seriously enough to let them bleed.
Anavatos was founded in 2025 by a film producer who spent four years writing a novel instead of making a film. Erebus and the Crown of Cronus is that novel, the first of a trilogy. The second is being written now.
This is the beginning of our story. You are welcome in it.
The author
Konstantinos P. Moutsinas
Konstantinos Moutsinas was born in Volos in 1990. After studying Business Administration he went into film production, and in 2016 produced his first feature, Short Fuse, starring A. Totsikas, T. Nousias and K. Markoulakis. It became the first Greek film ever acquired by Netflix, and later reached Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
In 2018 he produced Hippo for Faliro House Productions, a film he also co-wrote. For the past eight years he has been Creative Executive at Rhea Films, producing work that has screened at international festivals: Cavewoman (2022) with Angeliki Papoulia, the documentary No Cap (2024) directed by Dennis Iliadis, released by Village Cinemas and a major hit on Netflix, and Salty Amazons (2025) with Makis Papadimitriou and Michele Valley.
In 2026 he produced Village Cinemas' Friends Forever, co-producing with Oscar-winning producer Gareth Ellis-Unwin (The King's Speech).
Erebus and the Crown of Cronus is his first novel. He wrote it over four years, in the hours a producer is not supposed to have.
